Börje salming foundation

About the foundation

When Börje was diagnosed with ALS, we decided to start the Börje Salming ALS Foundation, to support ALS research and relatives affected by the disease. 

Börje passed away in November 2022 and we aim to fulfill Börje’s wish and create a better future for patients struggling with ALS and stop this fatal disease.

“Börje Salming was not only one of the greatest hockey players in the NHL. Börje was also a great person with an extremely big heart, who took the time to talk to and greet everybody he met.”
